
The uGenius Remote Professional System is comprised of a uGenius Remote Professional Station (equipped with a LCD monitor, webcam, audio handset, microphone and speakers and component options of ID scanner, digital signature pad, check scanner, check printer, receipt printer, and laser printer), a uGenius Server, a uGenius platform specialist application, and the uGenius Network Manager.
The uGenius System is activated when a customer comes to a Remote Professional Station and presses the "Start" button located on the PTM touch screen. This initiates pre-defined call routing rules through the uGenius Server, which sits behind the Financial Institution's firewall, and establishes an audio and video call between the customer and a platform specialist who is located in a distant work environment.
The specialist and the customer can both hear and see each other during the entire transaction. The specialist uses a uGenius interface application to communicate with the customer, control the devices at the Station, and deliver a variety of services. There are two versions of the uGenius platform specialist application. One version can be integrated with the financial institution's core processing platform and manages all data processing between the uGenius System and the core platform. The other version facilitates the same system functionality, however, it is a stand-alone application that is not integrated with the FI core processing platform. After the customer and specialist complete their interaction, any necessary receipts or forms can be printed and the information associated with the service interaction including ID images, check images, digital signatures, and receipt images is captured in the uGenius Server and this data is retrievable via the uGenius Network Manager.
In addition to viewing session data, the uGenius Network Manager can be used to set up and maintain system users, set call routing rules, distribute custom marketing messages to the Remote Teller Stations, remotely view hardware component status, and conduct many other system maintenance and reporting functions.
