System Overview

The uGenius Personal Teller System is comprised of a uGenius Video Banking enabled machine such as the uGenius Personal Teller Machine (PTM), the uGenius Server, a uGenius teller application either uGenius Teller Enterprise or uGenius TellerNow! and the uGenius Network Manager.

The uGenius System is activated when a customer comes to a PTM unit and presses the "Start" button located on the PTM touch screen. This initiates pre-defined call routing rules through the uGenius Server, which sits behind the Financial Institution's firewall, and establishes an audio and video call between the customer and a teller who is located in a centralized call center.

The teller and the customer can both hear and see each other during the entire transaction. The teller uses a uGenius teller application to control the PTM and assist the customer with a variety of transactional services. The uGenius Teller Enterprise application is integrated with the financial institution's core processing platform and manages all transaction data processing between the uGenius System and the core platform. The uGenius TellerNow! application facilitates the same system functionality, however, it is a stand-alone application that is not integrated with the FI core processing platform. After the customer and teller complete the transaction, a receipt is printed and the information associated with the transaction including check images, digital signatures, and receipt image is captured in the uGenius Server, This data is thenretrievable via the uGenius Network Manager.

In addition to viewing session data, the uGenius Network Manager can be used to set up and maintain system users, set call routing rules, distribute custom marketing messages to the PTM units, remotely view machine status, and conduct many other system maintenance and reporting functions.
