uGenius Video Banking Device Application

The uGenius Video Banking Device Application is the software that brings uGenius Video Banking enabled device to life. The application controls all of the device components, enables custom marketing messaging, displays real-time session details and provides all of the on-site servicing tools needed to service and maintain a full-function video banking device. Once the customer initiates a call, the uGenius Video Banking Device Application contacts the uGenius Server and enables the audio/video link between the customer and the financial institution’s remote video banking agent. The agent maintains control of the uGenius Video Banking Device throughout the video banking session and can enable the various device components such as ID scanners, check scanners, cash dispensers, etc. to complete the customer's transactional requests. Specific functions are dependent upon the hardware components available on the type of video banking device being used by the end customer.

uGenius Video Banking Device Application for third-party VB devices

The uGenius Video Banking Device Application for third-party video banking devices will be certified on various third-party hardware kiosks. The first kiosk to be certified with the uGenius Video Banking System will be the NCR SelfServ™ 32 followed by the SelfServ™ 38. uGenius will integrate video banking functionality with NCR's robust APTRA self-service software application which provides best-in-class functionality in managing and controlling XFS-based hardware devices throughout the industry.

The uGenius Video Banking Device Application for third-party video banking devices will enable similar functionality as the uGenius Video Banking Device Application for the uGenius PTM kiosk. However, this application will allow both video banking transactions and self-service ATM transactions to occur on the same video banking enabled kiosk.

Real-Time Transaction Slip

Throughout the duration of the call, the uGenius Video Banking Device Application displays an on screen transaction slip allowing the customer to see and validate all of the transaction amounts associated with the session, real-time. When the session is completed, the agent signals the uGenius Video Banking Device Application to complete the session and dispense the appropriate media (cash/coin/check/ receipt).

Editable Marketing Messages

uGenius Video Banking Device Application features editable marketing messages and graphics to educate and build the financial institution’s brand. The financial institution can display marketing images that highlight featured products or services directly on the customer’s screen. There is also a scrolling text message across the bottom of the screen. All marketing messages can include customized colors and logos.

Service-Side Functionality

In addition to the customer interface portion of the uGenius Video Banking Device Application, it also includes a service-side function. The function provides all of the on-site servicing tools needed to service and maintain full-function video banking devices such as the uGenius PTM kiosk or third-party video banking enabled kiosks. The function implements user-friendly replenishment menus for Cash-In-Transit companies and reset functions accessible through the kiosks' LCD touch-screen service monitor. The service side function also includes more complex diagnostic tools available to users with advanced permission levels.
