About Us

Our beginnings:

Although new as an independent company, the uGenius Technology team operated for about 4 years as a part of Gene Pranger—Creating Smarter Branches. Gene Pranger the founder and President of uGenius Technology, started designing financial branches in 1992. By 1995 Gene ventured out on his own designing branches for financial institutions across the country. Gene's approach to design has always included the seamless integration of highly efficient transaction technologies which ultimately lead him to invent the uGenius Personal Teller System.

With the success of the uGenius Personal Teller System, uGenius Technology spun off from Gene Pranger-Creating Smarter Branches on January 1, 2008. The first production deployment of the uGenius PTM was in 2004 at Coastal Federal Credit Union in Raleigh, NC and now has deployments across North America. uGenius Technology is located in the heart of Utah's growing technology industry in Sandy, Utah.
